BREAKING: Bulls Acquire Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. in Three Team Deal with Pistons and Timberwolves

The Chicago Bulls acquire Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr in a multi-team deal with the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves.

ESPN insider Shams Charania announced the Chicago Bulls are trading Kevin Huerter and newly acquired Dario Saric to the Detroit Pistons for Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. The Pistons also receive a 2026 protected first round pick swap from the Timberwolves.

Charania added the Bulls receive a young guard they were searching for while the Pistons receive much-needed off-ball scoring. As for the Timberwolves they save money in the tax and open up a roster spot for another potential move. Detroit is what brought this move together as they were $19.9 million under the tax prior to the deal according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.

Ivey and Conley are both on expiring deals at different stages of their careers. Ivey is returning from a brutal leg injury last year and is headed into restricted free agency. On the other side the NBA career lifespan, Conley is entering his twilight years with the possibility of retiring soon.

With Ivey clearly being the prize, there’s a lot more uncertainty about Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White’s future with the team. CHSN insider K.C. Johnson predicted Ivey is the type of player who the Bulls would target on 104.3 the Score, stating the front office prefers young players with experience.
