According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Chicago Bulls have traded Coby White and Mike Conley Jr. to the Charlotte Hornets for Collin Sexton, Ousmane Dieng, and three second-round picks. White will head back to his home state in North Carolina to help a promising young Hornets core, while the Bulls receive an expiring deal, a promising young player, and draft capital. The Hornets came out of left field as a landing spot for White, as the Rockets appeared to be the front-runners for White earlier today. White was the final player from the previous front office regime of Gar Forman and John Paxson.
With a logjam still at guard, Arturas Karnisovas will likely make additional moves, as the Bulls will prioritize retaining Ayo Dosunmu over Collin Sexton and Anfernee Simons now that they have dealt White. This deal with the Hornets will be the fourth trade Karnisovas has made at the 2026 trade deadline.
