Monday evening the United States Soccer Men’s National Team was knocked out of the World Cup after a 4-1 loss to Belgium.
South Carolina United FC executive director Rob Strickland joined WACH FOX 57 to break down the loss.
Strickland says, “The U.S. had very fast starts in all of their games and they’d really used that to get the crowd on their side and the momentum and the passion. So being on the back foot early on and conceding an early goal was a real setback.”
“It was a disappointing end to a tournament that was exciting at the beginning and was offering a lot of hope.” Strickland said about Team USA’s defeat.
