Man convicted of breaking into a woman’s home, ‘sucking on her toes’

Updated March 25, 2026, 6:05 p.m. ET A California man was sentenced to more than six years in prison for breaking into a woman’s home and assaulting her by “sucking on her toes” as she slept, state prosecutors said. According to a news release from the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office, Cristian Solorio, 28, of Modesto, California, was convicted of felony stalking and breaking into a residence with the intent to commit a sex act. He was given the maximum sentence under California Law, six years and eight months in state prison. The office said that Solorio had become “obsessed”

Most US adults think Donald Trump is moving the country in the wrong direction during his second presidency, according to a new NPR/PBS News/Marist poll released the day before his State of the Union speech. The US has sent Iran a 15-point plan and cease-fire proposal to end the war in the Middle East — and President Trump claims the regime has already agreed to a critical part of the peace framework: No nuclear weapons.  “They’ve agreed,” Trump said Tuesday of his biggest demand. “They will never have a nuclear weapon.
