Trump says U.S. is “in charge” of Venezuela, Maduro jailed in New York after U.S. military operation

Rep. Jim Himes, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said the operation to capture Maduro is “clearly illegal under international law,” while pointing to broader implications. “Think of what Russia and China just learned,” Himes said on “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan.” “Russia and China just learned that all you need to do if you want to go into Estonia is to say that the leader of Estonia is a bad person. You don’t even need to make a particularly good case.”  Himes said “there’s no national security expert saying that Venezuela was a mortal threat to

A federal judge on Friday ordered federal law enforcement participating in the Minnesota immigration crackdown to stop pepper spraying, detaining and pulling over peaceful protesters. Europe may have reached its breaking point with Trump over Greenland tariffs

Has Europe had enough? President Donald Trump said Saturday he will impose sweeping new tariffs on eight key European allies that will ratchet up unless Denmark agrees to hand over Greenland, resurrecting one of his most provocative foreign policy obsessions as he threatens the territory of a NATO ally. The ultimatum marks the latest escalation in a pattern that has seen Europe repeatedly forced onto the back foot

Début du widget . Passer le widget? Fin du widget . Retour au début du widget? British Columbia Premier David Eby says Alberta separatists meeting with the U.S. administration for financial backing is an act of treason and it’s an issue he’ll raise as the premiers gather with the prime minister in Ottawa today.  To go to a foreign country and to ask for assistance in breaking up Canada, there’s an old-fashioned word for that, and that word is treason, said Eby ahead of the meeting.  He was reacting to multiple reports that members of Donald Trump’s administration have held
