As the women’s figure skating got going Tuesday at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games, former world champion and Olympic gold medal winner Kristi Yamaguchi was optimistic about the chances of a medal from a trio of American skaters. An American woman hasn’t won an individual Olympic skating medal in two decades, but Alysa Liu, Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito — collectively known as the “Blade Angels” — are hoping to change that. Irishman Seamus Culleton will not be deported to Ireland on Tuesday, after a court in the United States issued a temporary order halting his removal. This comes after it was expected that the Kilkenny man would arrive at Dublin Airport on Tuesday, reports the Irish Times.
