The storm in the States brought a record-breaking amount of snow that caused disruption for millions of people living on the East Coast. More than 600,000 properties endured power outages as thousands of flights were cancelled at major airports like JFK in New York. However, Suffolk has seen the arrival of spring with temperatures reaching 17C in parts of the county on Wednesday, making it hotter than Milan in Italy.
