A major incident is unfolding on Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino and the Paris Hotel with dozens of police vehicles rushing to the scene

A boulevard in Las Vegas has been cordoned off with dozens of police cars rushing to an incident at an iconic hotel.
A witness of the massive response is heard saying, “this is crazy” as he estimates 100 police cars are involved on a video uploaded to social media. He also pointed the camera at the police helicopter flying above while shining a spotlight on the ground.
The incident is unfolding on Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino and the Paris Hotel and another person enquired online: “Heavy police presence on the #lasvegas strip. Anyone know what happened?”

The police have blocked off the section of Las Vegas Boulevard as panicked locals took to social media. The authorities have reportedly warned people who turn north on the street are subject to arrest as they respond to the incident.
“I’m in the Bellagio towers and can count about 30 police cars,” read a comment. While one person wrote on social media: “Las Vegas boulevard in front of Bellagio has been blocked off by police.” Another said: “Something crazy going on on the Las Vegas Strip right now… In front of Paris Hotel”.
A further witness said: “Not sure what’s going on but police said turn back north Jr be subject to arrest. There was a group of people getting upset with police for closing the walkway. Looking like what is taking place is right outside our hotel. We made it back to room”.
The nature of the incident is still unknown but witnesses have told of hearing a “loud bang”, before the police showed up and there have also been claims of a “fight” at Planet Hollywood.
Meanwhile there was panic when a knifeman went on a deadly rampage in Las Vegas after claiming a showgirl “laughed at him”. Yoni Barrios, 34, killed showgirl Maris Digiovanni and an onlooker Brent Hallet with a foot-long kitchen knife on the iconic Las Vegas Boulevard on October 6, 2022. He also injured six others in the attack near the Wynn Hotel.
The Guatemalan national is claimed to have asked a group of showgirls for a photo with him holding a knife and then is understood to have become belligerent when he felt they were laughing at him. A video shows him then start a stabbing frenzy that included him running after the red-feathered-clad Ms Digiovanni, 30, and he stabbed her in the chest before looking for more targets.
