Ukraine war latest: Kyiv warned by Trump again – as more trilateral talks begin today | World News

In our previous post we brought you news of Russia’s ever-present nightly attacks.

Ukraine’s foreign minister says Russia “disregards peace” with “a massive missile and drone strike” ahead of today’s talks in Geneva.

Andrii Sybiha says the targets of the attacks were energy and civilian infrastructure.

This winter, Moscow has pummelled Ukraine’s energy facilities, often leaving residents without heat or power in below-freezing temperatures.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, throughout this morning, Russian drones remain above many Ukrainian regions, with more than 400 drones and missiles launched overnight.

However, in recent months, Ukraine has improved its retaliatory strikes.

According to Moscow’s Ministry of Defence, Russia shot down more than 150 Ukrainian drones overnight.

Local authorities in the Krasnodar region also say that a fire broke out at the Ilsky refinery after a drone attack.

They added that a reservoir with oil products was damaged.

Ukraine is yet to comment on the attack, but it has a long-running tactic of striking Russia’s petrochemical industries that support its war efforts.
