With the completion of the final indoor tournaments two weekends ago, USA Field Hockey is pleased to report a record number of 954 teams that participated throughout the national indoor season.
The first National Indoor Tournament got underway starting on February 13 at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pa. with 252 U-14 Girls and Co-Ed teams from across the country. That same weekend down in Virginia Beach, Va. the National Indoor Festival saw 125 teams across five age group divisions competing. The following weekend it was the U-16 Girls who too the courts at the National Indoor Tournament in Lancaster, Pa. with 180 teams. Rounding out the indoor season during the last weekend was the U-10 and U-12 Co-Ed with 205 teams who experienced national tournament play, as well as two All Starz teams. Also down in Richmond, Va. 190 teams competed in U-17 Boys, U-19 Girls, Men’s and Women’s divisions.
“The continued growth of our national events is a testament to the strength and dedication of the club community,” said Maddie Rascon, USA Field Hockey’s Director of Events. “We are incredibly grateful for the support and commitment of clubs across the country who make these opportunities possible for so many athletes.”

Special appreciation goes to the USA Field Hockey Events Team whose months of preparation, professionalism, and expertise make these programs possible.”
The national indoor season comes on the heels of the record breaking Sunshine Showcase at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort in Kissimmee, Fla. which saw the largest single event in USA Field Hockey history with 312 teams.
These significant records have helped USA Field Hockey’s Membership grow in the past year to a new high of 30,410.
