Toronto is the city that will see Canada begin its home soil World Cup adventure as they take on Bosnia & Herzegovina to get the day underway. Later in the night, the spotlight shifts to Los Angeles, where the USMNT will start their tournament against Paraguay. Here’s why you should watch each match.

Why watch: Nearly every Canada match has become a must-watch affair due to Jesse Marsch’s ultra-aggressive tactics that feature a daring high defensive line. Whether that benefits the Canadians in attack or exposes their defense in favor of Bosnia and Herzegovina, there’s usually a ton of interesting action during every match they’re involved in.
Why it could disappoint: The only logical scenario where this match becomes a slog to watch seems to be Bosnia deciding to park the bus and play only for counter-attacks. If they do that, the match could devolve into Canada attacking a solidified defensive wall for a large portion of the day.

Why watch: When the USMNT take the field, it usually means goals. Mauricio Pochettino’s side has not been very stout defensively in the last few years. There is attacking talent all over the field on both sides. Paraguay will like their chances of getting something from this match just as much as the USA. Which should provide an open and entertaining 90 minutes.
Why it could disappoint: Despite the attacking firepower, nerves and pressure are always a threat to creep in during the first match at a World Cup. If both teams are hesitant and afraid to make mistakes, it could result in a drab showing.
