Major heat risk is possible for parts of metro Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are forecast to climb steadily in South Florida through the end of the week, says an April 30 post by the NWS. The highest actual temperatures and heat indices are forecast for Saturday.
Maximum heat indices will reach the upper 90s today across all of South Florida, and around 100 degrees on Saturday. Some locations could tie or break high temperature records for this time of year.
