World Cup round of 32: Spain vs Austria
Editor’s note:Follow our live Spain vs Austria updates
Time/TV: 3:00 PM ET on Fox at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, California
Why watch: Spain is among the favorites to be the last team standing, but they haven’t shown it yet. Injuries and an inconsistent lineup leave La Roja with many questions to answer. This is their first chance to quell concerns against an Austria side who squeaked in on the last day.
Why it could disappoint: Upsets have been on the menu so far. Austria must get off to a hot start to have any chance here. If Spain get on the board first it could be a long day for both Austria and viewers.
World Cup round of 32: Portugal vs Croatia
Time/TV: 7:00 PM ET on Fox at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario
Why watch: Two of the game’s icons meet with their World Cup lives on the line. More than likely either Cristiano Ronaldo or Luka Modric is playing their last ever World Cup match. If that’s not worth tuning in for, then what is?
Why it could disappoint: Croatia has been pretty poor so far. They are notoriously slow starters before turning it on in the knockouts. However, if they don’t come out strong and Portugal gets the upper-hand, it could spell a quick end to Croatia’s World Cup.
Watch the 2026 World Cup with FuboWorld Cup round of 32: Switzerland vs Algeria
Time/TV: 11:00 PM ET on FS1 at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia
Why watch: Switzerland topped arguably the weakest group of the tournament. Are they for real or a product of a lucky schedule? This is their chance to prove they are worthy of being taken seriously.
Why it could disappoint: On paper, this is the least attractive matchup of the round of 32. A weak group winner against a team fortunate to make it in. There’s always a chance it could surprise us. But there’s a distinct possibility it provides little entertainment as it plods to the finish.
