Trump graces ‘new USA passport’ as he says ‘Welcome, but be good’

The US may be getting a 250th anniversary edition of a passport that President Trump appears to grave the page as he told follows on Truth Social that it says ““Welcome, but be good!”

Donald Trump has appeared to unveil the inside of a new US passport that shows himself grace the page. The US President displayed the image on his Truth Social platform.

The images of the page also features Trump’s signature under the stern looking image of the US President.

Publishing the image that appears to also celebrate the 250th anniversary, Trump wrote: The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, “Welcome, but be good!”

The White House confirmed back in April this year there would be a passport being released as part of celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence in July.

The design will be a limited-edition run to celebrate the huge milestone in the US and would reportedly be available for “any American citizen” who applies for a passport and would also be available at the Washington Passport Agency.

The design has already sparked mixed reaction on social media with some who are calling it the “most patriotic US passport ever”. Others have also called it a passport for “patriots”.

One wrote: “President Trump just unveiled this new EPIC passport.”

Another added: “President Trump unveils EPIC new US passport for patriots. Cue the meltdowns!”

However, others have their doubts about it with some questioning Trump’s inclusion in the image as he is placed in front of the Declaration of Independence.

One commented: “The United States has 250 years of history, and Trump still looked at the passport and thought: Needs more me.”

Another said: “Thank God: the Trump image passport is a limited-edition commemorative passport, not the standard passport that most Americans receive.”

The page next to Trump shows the famous painting of the signing of the declaration with the 250 text under the word United States of America.

Others also question Trump’s statement of “Welcome, but be good!” with some suggesting he has gotten confused with being granted citizenship.

One wrote: “Is Trump confusing a passport with being granted citizenship? You only need a passport to travel to other countries. I guess it’s okay to presume other countries will welcome American citizens and it’s definitely a good thing that we should be good when we’re guest of that country.”

Another commented: “US passport is not the same as visa for entering US but Trump doesn’t know that.”
